MANDALA is conceptualised as a modern Avtaar of classical elements! It is inspired by the palace interior elements and the traditional interior furniture concepts of the historic city, Udaipur. It is designed to redefine a world class dining ambience which captivates the attention of international tourists and locals alike. Mandala, a geometric design, holds a great deal of symbolism in ancient Hindu culture, being the central theme of the decor .The parametric design is used as a visual language to give modern look and to create an all encompassing fluidity, which is inspired by the desert close by. The overall theme is almost monochromatic sand stone like color, extensively used in the region.
The parametric animal faces , subtle lighting which mimic the ‘ Diya ‘ ( lamps) used in palaces, the arches and domes of the city’s architectural heritage, all has inspired the interventions on walls and ceiling. The wall finish is special stucco made of sandstone dust with lime and has been extensively used in the palaces for centuries.
The idea is to recreate royal ambience for dining experience in a modern Avtaar. The overall impact is of a timeless classic.
